It's Startin' to Look a Lot Like Noël!!

Christmas Time in Paris

Considering they don't celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas time and its decorations have come sooner than they do in the states. When my friend Kelly was here with her parents we went to Notre Dame at night. Luckily for us (and especially for them) they visited it on a clear night and while they were decorating the tree the put out front. Kinda like Paris' own version of Rockefeller Center.

More incredible than the tree out front of Notre Dame is the Christmas Market that is set up all along the Champs Elysee. While there are about a dozen Christmas markets throughout the city, this one is by far the most impressive. After walking the length of it twice, we decided it would be awesome to take a ride on the ferris wheel. The sights from the top were incredible - and we got luck because our cart stopped just at the top of the hour when we were looking straight onto the Eiffel Tower meaning we got to watch it sparkle!
